Is GAP insurance refundable after I pay off my car?

Usually yes. If you paid off, refinanced, or sold a financed car before the loan's scheduled end and no GAP claim was ever paid, the unused portion of your GAP charge is typically refundable. It is almost never refunded automatically — you have to request it in writing from the right party.

How much GAP refund will I get?

Does the refund come to me or my lender?

This policy applies to the price you pay RefundGPS for the kit. It is separate from any GAP refund you may be owed by your GAP administrator, lender, or dealer. That refund, if any, is paid by them — not by RefundGPS — and is not affected by this policy.
